Freedom Crossing at Fort Sam Houston will be a 52-acre, $80 million redevelopment of the existing Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) retail areas for Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. The project will transform the existing Post Exchange, AAFES services, fuel station and restaurant space into a modern Lifestyle Center setting with the addition of restaurant and retail space as well as a state of the art theater. The completed development will consist of 500,000sf of new and redeveloped retail space anchored by the new Post Exchange, theater, and existing Commissary. The project is seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Core & Shell certification.
