Brodie Lane and US 290 Crossing
Austin, Texas

The intersection of US 290 and Brodie Lane experiences high volumes of traffic throughout the day but did not possess the proper pedestrian facilities which would allow the safe crossing of pedestrians. This was problematic for the commercial retail and restaurants that exist adjacent to the north and south of this intersection as well as a popular hike and bike trail, the Barton Creek Greenbelt, directly to the north of the intersection. Working with a non-profit organization, the Hill Country Conservancy (HCC), Bury applied for federal funding through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) on behalf of HCC in order to construct the necessary improvements to this intersection.
