Teravista is a 1,500-acre master-planned community that features 3,000 homes, 550 apartments and a 135-acre business park. Amenities include a 7,200-yard, championship-length golf course with a clubhouse and recreation center, sports areas and lakes. The development has satisfied the need of the community by planning and including areas to be designated for commercial and mixed uses. Large residential communities bring with them the need for grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. By including these into the Master Plan, the developer has provided for a future need as this community continues to grow and expand.
Milton Reimer's Ranch Park encompasses over 500-acres along the Pedernales River and features some of the most scenic lands in western Travis County. Program elements include nature trails, rock climbing, fishing and interaction areas along the river, observation areas atop the cliffs, birding areas, and the delineation of preserve areas within the park. The end result is a park improvements master plan that meets the needs of future users while at the same time having a light touch on the land.
Legacy, a new urban-themed center, encompasses a total of 100 acres of mixed-use development consisting of 400,000sf of specialty retailers, restaurants and big-box stores. Life Time Fitness developed a 150,000sf fitness facility at the site while other tenants being considered for the site include office, multi-family, entertainment venues and a hotel.
Cougar Village is a new, 1,172-bed undergraduate student housing dormitory located on the University of Houston Main Campus just south of downtown. The project includes undergraduate housing with additional housing units for resident advisors, staff and faculty. The facility is approximately 375,000sf and seven stories tall. The ground floor includes seminar/classrooms, computer lab, administrative offices, laundry facilities, fitness center and a retail convenience store.
