Todd Janssen has more than 25 years in his professional career where he has been primarily focused on the planning, design and development of master planned communities in Texas and California. As a development engineer for over 10 years, his experience includes all aspects of site selection, entitlement and construction activity related to the delivery of well over 20,000 finished lots in multiple jurisdictions. With a background in engineering, real estate acquisitions and development, Mr. Janssen brings a unique technical and business acumen to the Bury Team.
He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is an active member of the Real Estate Council of Austin and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Hill Country Christian School of Austin.
Mac McWilliams is one of the most experienced professionals in the industry, and with that experience he has helped shape public and private developments for more than 36 years.
His experience includes civil engineering design and project management for industrial parks, retail and shopping centers, multi-family, office complexes, distribution centers and institutional and medical facilities including schools, universities and hospitals. Particular areas of expertise are site grading and drainage, ADA compliance, water and wastewater design, project management and coordination, contract negotiations, bid documents and construction administration.
Bill Nicholson has 21 years of professional experience where he has led projects ranging from 200-acre sports parks, multi-mile trail systems, regional parks and recreation open space master planning, to multifamily housing developments and resort golf courses nationally and overseas.
His portfolio demonstrates the blending of human need, sensitivity to the environment, strategic solutions and quality design. Mr. Nicholson has centered his practice to meet outdoor spatial needs of all types. His clients include Municipalities, Counties, River Authorities, Departments of Transportation, Developers, School Systems, National Government Agencies, and Corporate Businesses. Throughout his career, Mr. Nicholson has demonstrated his ability to successfully complete projects on time and within the construction budgets requested by his clients.
Charlie Fowler has 17 years of experience working in land development and public improvement projects. He has served in the capacity of Principal-in-Charge, Project Manager, design engineer, primary client contact, as well as serving as the project liaison on all levels with governmental agencies.
His work experience includes residential master planned development, regional commercial, institutional, multi-family, single-family developments, as well as highways, roads, bridges and utility projects.
Coy Armstrong has 13 years of experience in civil engineering. He is experienced in feasibility studies, cost estimates, site plans, subdivision design, commercial retail design, platting, hydrologic and hydraulic studies and analysis using HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS and methods approved by the U.S. Geological Survey (WSPRO).
He is also experienced in water supply, wastewater, stormwater pollution abatement and the design and preparation of water, sanitary sewer and gas plans. Mr. Armstrong also has experience in schematic design, design and preparation of drainage plans, grading plans and preparation of entire civil construction documents.
Daryl Benkendorfer has been practicing landscape architecture since 1982. During the course of his 29-year career, he has been fortunate to have been involved in numerous, high-profile projects that have garnered numerous awards and recognition.
Mr. Benkendorfer has worked on projects in 15 states across the country and abroad. His experience includes mixed-use, TND, retail, multifamily, hotel/resort, institutional, commercial and single family developments. In addition to being well versed in landscape architecture practices, he is also an accomplished planner with many projects to his credit.
Doran McMahon is a leading MEP engineer in Texas. His responsibilities include business development, project management, and preparation of design drawings and specifications for various commercial, healthcare, educational, and industrial projects.
His experience encompasses all phases of project development from initial concept design through construction administration. With over 22 years of engineering and management experience in the industries of consulting engineering, automation and controls systems, and facility engineering and operations, he has managed projects of various sizes for numerous types of facilities from the perspective of consulting engineer, owner, and contractor.
Greg Strmiska has over 27 years experience in land planning and site development. He has extensive knowledge of land development codes and ordinances, as well as experience working in restrictive watersheds and with environmentally sensitive projects, which involve water quality issues, along with endangered species and aquifer recharge.
Additionally, he has a substantial amount of experience working with City, County, State and Federal issues, Environmental Boards, Planning Commissions, Neighborhood Groups, and City Councils. He is responsible for all project design and due diligence activities, with extensive experience in client consultation, site selection and project programming. He also develops and maintains control of project schedules and budgets and is responsible for project design activities including preparation of construction documents, specifications and permitting.
Joseph Isaja has 18 years of extensive experience with land planning and site development.
His experience includes design of site layouts and site planning, site utilities, grading, detention and filtration and water and wastewater collections systems. He has substantial amount of experience working with municipal staffs, city staffs and state agencies.
Mark Johnson has over 17 years of experience in San Antonio and throughout Texas.
He is responsible for the management and direction of project teams engaged in the design and preparation of construction plans and specifications for municipal and land development projects.
